 Bandau the 3 legged dog ..  It's nice to get an update from the adopter about the progress of the rescued dogs that they adopted.  Poor Bandau was rescued from the street of Kota Marudu , Sabah few years ago with a broken leg and too bad that the injury was too severe and vet had to amputate the broken leg in order to save his life.  Now he's getting old but living in a nice and comfy life with his new family who adopted him during the pandemic. Due to his old age , he spend most of his time resting indoor and came out to once a in a while just to do his "business" or to sit and relax in garden.  You doin so well now Bandau ... stay strong and healthy buddy !  It started with a very small cut on her face few months ago but her owner neglected their responsibility to take Kuning to get a proper treatment at the vet clinic.  She was left untreated for months , it become severely infected and become a chronic wounds. The irresponsible owner must had thought that it was just a small wound and they shouldn't be worry too much , but they didn't aware that even a minor flesh wound can cause dormant cancer cells to develop into tumor.  The surgery to removed all of the dead tissues and wound dressing was performed by the vet. 3 chemotherapies sessions were also done during her 3 weeks treatment course at Klinik haiwan & surgeri Tuaran. Even though that Kuning's condition consider severe but it still can be treated and have a positive prognosis.  We received a report about a young female stray dog that was hit by a car and broke both of her back legs. She was found by the staff of the petshop near Jalan Sulaman , Kota Kinabalu who made an effort to rescue the poor puppy and keep her safe in their shop while waiting for help. Our team responded to this case and rescuer rushed to the location to take the puppy straight to Klinik haiwan & surgeri Tuaran for immediate treatment Echo the dog was very lucky to have her life spared, but we were sad to found out that her X-ray result showed fractured bones on 3 places on both of her hind legs. In order to save her legs , vet decided to use the metal plates and screws for the internal fixation of the fractures.  The goal of fracture repair surgery is to put the bones back where they belong and to hold them there very rigidly until they heal.   Bob the cat was found by a member of public with huge wound which already infected with hundreds of flesh-eating maggots in Kepayan , Sabah. Half of his ear has been eaten alive by the maggots , he lost his right ear and left him in severe pain. The informer has no idea on how did the poor cat ended up in such condition because when she found him in her area , poor Bob was already weak with the awful injury on his head The lady who found him reported the case to us and safely handed the cat to our rescuer then rushed him to the vet for immediate treatment. A medicine liquid was dripped over the wound and maggot started popping out and moggots were immediately removed from his flesh using a forcep.  The infected tissue was removed before they properly clean the massive open wound. Antibiotic was applied on the wound , gauze was placed against the wound to absorb blood and other fluids the wrapped it with bandage to protect against infection.  Faith the young female puppy was dumped and left to die at a parking lot in Simpang Tiga , Kota Marudu . Sabah.  We received the report from an informer who found the puppy in a heartbreaking condition and Thank you to our volunteers in Kota Marudu who managed to locate the puppy and brought her straight to Marudu Animal Clinic for immediate treatment. Our volunteer was told by the shop owner in the area that someone dumped the puppy 2 days ago and been feeding the puppy since then. Poor Faith has safely arrived at the clinic , the health and physical exams showed that poor Faith suffers from blood parasites , dehydration , bloated stomach and also broken spine and leg that caused her paralysed.  She is currently admitted at the vet clinic and has started her treatment but we need to transfer her to Klinik haiwan & surgeri Tuaran for X-ray and continue her treatment in Tuaran so it's easy for our team to visit and check on her progress.  She is currently admitte...

  Sara the young female dog was discovered by a member of public with a very huge belly and she knew that Sara is in need of medical attention so she had reported this case to us for help. Rescuers were assign to help this poor dog in Kota Belud , Sabah and with the help of the informer , Sara was captured then taken straight to Klinik haiwan & surgeri Tuaran. Poor Sara had arrived at the clinic with an enlarged and expanded abdomen area full of fluid that was overtaking her body. Vet and team were able to reduce the swelling by removing fluid from the Sara's belly. 2 litres of fluid was removed from her belly, you can see that the size of her belly had reduced after the procedure. The enlargement can take place as a result of a variety of factors and as for now , vet has not yet confirm the cause of her condition. They will need to do few more test before they are able to confirm the caused of Sara's heartbreaking condition.  The cost of Sara's treatment is around RM50...

The most heartbreaking part of our job is when we rescued the most severe cases like this ... 😔😔😔 Abandoned by her owner while she was still fighting for her dear life to live ... she was still breathing when she was found in Pekan Tuaran. Rescuer rushed her to Klinik Haiwan & Surgeri Tuaran for emergency treatment. Her whole body was severely infected with fungus & severely dehydrated ... we were told by the informer that someone left the poor cat near the parking lot , she thought that it was a dead cat but as she came closer to check , the cat was still breathing and contacted us for help.  Vet and nurses have tried their best to save this poor baby , but the poor cat passed away few hours after she was taken to the vet. 😔😔😔 It's depressing .. it hurts ... why???!   Meet Mami Rich , the mama cat that was abandoned on the side of the road along with her 3 sick kittens. Just few days after we rescued her , her kittens died and she become depressed. She will cry all day and night , searching her kittens at every corners in the room. She didn't understand that her kittens had already died 😢😢😢.  Since her foster mum gave birth to her baby girl in December , Mami Rich was allowed to come in her foster mum's room to visit her baby sister . Once she entered the room , she will go straight to her baby sister's bed.  She will sit and sleep next to her baby sister the whole time. Whenever the baby cries , she the one who will check on the baby and will try to comfort her.  Mami Rich must be missing her kittens so much and now she's taking care of Baby Irin just like her own baby too.  Animals do have feeling too ... they can be sad , happy and angry too ... just like you and me ... please stop hurting them .. stop abandoning them...
