Junior The Cat With Severe Skin Infection Found & Rescued From Papar , Sabah

We received a report from a police officer at Papar roadblock about a poor cat that appeared at their working station with such heartbreaking condition. They couldn't stand looking at the cat as he was suffering from a severe case of mange and contacted ALIR for help 🙏

Rescuer was sent to the location and the poor cat that we named Junior was finally in a safe hands of our rescuer. He was then sent to the clinic and it's confirmed that he is suffering from severe mange and the blood test result also shows that poor Junior andy is positive with blood parasite too.

He received a dose of antibiotics and injection for the skin infection and fluids . Junior will need another 2 dose of injection in another 2 weeks time and in a mean time , he will be under the intensive care or our fosterer until he fully recover.

His owner decided to leave him to die without getting the treatment he desperately needed. Tigger arrived at the clinic with severe injuries and in extreme pain. His X-ray images revealed that he broke both of his femur bones, and the vet explained that the surgery to repair the broken thigh is complicated and expensive, and it takes a few months for Tigger to fully heal. The 1st surgery to insert the IM pins into both of the femurs was done, but it showed signs of complications a week after the surgery, and Tigger was once again rushed to the surgery room to drain the abscess, which infected the intramedullary implant. S.O.S !!! Help needed for Pororo the cat with broken , wounded legs and sporo infection. We received a heartbreaking message from a volunteer who discovered this cat with several wounds and a fractured hind leg in Putatan, Sabah. Pororo, the cat, was safely turned over to our staff after the first vet at another pet clinic declined to treat him. The cat was near death, suffering from agony, weakness, and extreme dehydration. Pororo's organ was going to shut down owing to dehydration, but thank goodness he arrived at the clinic on time. The X-ray results revealed that he had broken one of his hind legs, and the wound on the other hind leg was seriously infected, with maggots still consuming his rotting flesh. Because of his fragile state, he was placed on an intravenous drip to stay hydrated, and after nearly a week, he is finally ready for the limb amputation procedure.
