Greyie The Paralysed Cat

A kind lady was on her way to her office and when she was about to cross the road in Menggatal , she heard a noise from the drain near her and she was shocked to see a grey tabby cat in the drain.

The cat was just lying there in wet and not able to move. She believed that the poor cat was hit by a car few hours before she found him.

She immediately took the poor cat , covered him with her blazzer and instead of goin to her office , she drove straight to the vet clinic.

X-ray was taken and the result shown that poor Greyie has a broken back bone and fractured femur. Vet decided that surgical intervention needed and the best way to stabilize the fracture is by placing a plate on the broken spine and IM pin on the broken femur in order to keep the disparate bone pieces in place as they heal.

The surgery was successfully done by the vet and poor Greyie will need to be confined until the bones are healed. This may take anywhere from one to four months. During this time it may be necessary to nurse the cat and prevent them getting pressure sores or to manually express his bladder.

Skin sutures from surgery will be removed approximately 10 - 14 days later. The vet will perform follow up x-rays after about one month, to check that the position of the bones and the plates. Metal implants are usually left in place and only removed if they cause a problem.

The total cost of surgery is RM750 and we managed to raised fund for Greyie's treatment fund. We really blessed to have many kind hearted and loving followers who always been there for us to support and help our rescued animals.

Tigger, the dog with broken legs who was left to die

πŸ†˜️πŸ†˜️πŸ“Œ Please help Tigger, the dog with broken legs who was left to die πŸ™πŸ˜  He was once loved, but after he was hit by a car while guarding his home and broke both of his hind legs. His owner decided to leave him to die without getting the treatment he desperately needed.  Tigger arrived at the clinic with severe injuries and in extreme pain. His X-ray images revealed that he broke both of his femur bones, and the vet explained that the surgery to repair the broken thigh is complicated and expensive, and it takes a few months for Tigger to fully heal.  The 1st surgery to insert the IM pins into both of the femurs was done, but it showed signs of complications a week after the surgery, and Tigger was once again rushed to the surgery room to drain the abscess, which infected the intramedullary implant.  The second surgery was successfully done, and he needs to be on cage rest for around 6 to 8 weeks to prevent further complications after surgery.  The to...

Trinie the cat who become paralysed and lost her unborn kittens after  being beaten A cat was discovered on the side of the road in Tuaran, Sabah, after suffering an attack. Eyewitnesses reported that she had been beaten, resulting in severe injuries. Tragically, the attack led to a miscarriage, further compounding her suffering. Fortunately, a compassionate individual witnessed Trinie's plight and promptly alerted our team, enabling us to intervene and provide the necessary care. The cat was rescued and taken to Klinik Haiwan & Surgeri Tuaran for urgent medical attention. Trinie underwent a thorough examination, including ultrasound & X-rays, which revealed a fractured pelvis that has resulted in paralysis.  Additionally, the examination uncovered an infected wound near her tail and abdomen, likely caused by a sharp object used during the attack.
