Wasabi The BLIND Cat With Severe Skin Disease

This blind male cat was rescued from the street by a kind volunteer who discovered the poor cat in Papar , Sabah. He was starving , malnourised , suffer from severe skin infection and he's BLIND
😭😭😭 !!!

She knew thay the poor cat was needed medical attention because she will not going to make it on her own on the street alone and contacted us for help. The cat was transfered to our rescuer in Inanam all the way from Papar and taken straight to the vet clinic.

After she was examined , vet confirmed that the poor cat that we named Wasabi was born blind and they believed that the cat was abandoned by his owner recently due to his severe skin disease.

Poor Wasabi has a severe sarcoptic mange infection—also known as scabies which already spreaded to all over his face and 80% of his body and legs. Sarcoptic mange in cats is a highly unpleasant skin disease caused by tiny mites. It results in extreme itchiness, scratching, rashes, hair loss and sores.

He must be scared and confused when he ended up on the street , he waited for his owner to come back and bring him home and treat him , but his owner never returned 😒😒😒. Luckily he Wasabi was found , rescued and finally get the proper treatment he deserves.

He received a dose of antibiotics and injection for the skin infection and fluids . He will need another 2 dose of injection in another 2 weeks time and in a mean time , she will be under the intensive care of our fosterer until he's fully recover.

Wasabi is very skinny but fortunately, he eats well and she is in good spirits. He must have sensed that we were just trying to help him and now he knows that he's in a good hands.

We really hope that the treatment and healing process will be smooth and success. We need your prayers and also help for Wasabi's treatment and expenses πŸ™

His owner decided to leave him to die without getting the treatment he desperately needed.  Tigger arrived at the clinic with severe injuries and in extreme pain. His X-ray images revealed that he broke both of his femur bones, and the vet explained that the surgery to repair the broken thigh is complicated and expensive, and it takes a few months for Tigger to fully heal.  The 1st surgery to insert the IM pins into both of the femurs was done, but it showed signs of complications a week after the surgery, and Tigger was once again rushed to the surgery room to drain the abscess, which infected the intramedullary implant.  The second surgery was successfully done, and he needs to be on cage rest for around 6 to 8 weeks to prevent further complications after surgery.  The to...
